Lambton s library lounge opened in September 2021.

Our smallest lounge area was renovated to provide residents with a quieter relaxing environment where they can read or be read to.
Lambton worked in consultation with The Dementia Services Development Centre at Stirling University , a recognised centre of excellence for dementia environment design.
Considerations of colour , contrast , lighting ( natural / artificial) and fixtures have been made.
The local community and families of residents have provided books for the library, which is also used by poets and reminiscence specialists to engage with residents in smaller group sessions.
The library has also become a popular venue for family and friend visits with residents.
