When you move into Lambton House your needs will be assessed so that we can understand whether we are able to care for you and how long for. We do our very best to ensure that this is your last home, however if your needs change you may have to move to a home that cares for those needs. Specifically, if you are assessed as needing nursing care you will need a nursing home.
Visits usually take place in bedrooms or our beautiful garden areas in warmer weather. Visitors may also pre book visits in the library, tearoom or bar subject to availability.
We have protected mealtimes between 12 midday to 1pm and 4pm to 5pm. Visitors are welcome at all other times.
We encourage visitors to make a courtesy call in advance of your visit to inform staff that you are coming to the home.
We may have entertainment or activities planned that particular residents enjoy participating in.
Should you leave the home and miss mealtimes, your meal will be kept for you and served to you when you arrive home.
You are very welcome to being furniture into the homes, however everything that is brought in must be fire retardant. We also have a Maintenance Team who will help you hang your pictures on the wall and do any other little jobs that will make you feel at home.
Should you wish to go out with family and friends you would simply need to let a member of staff know of your whereabouts. There are many people in our home that live independently and go out and about to the local shops and amenities; this is determined by the initial assessment before you move into the home.
Animals are not allowed to stay in our Care Home as pets, however your pet is always welcome to visit you with relatives.
